SHELLI BOONE ON COMMUNITY...

What good is success if you don't pay it forward?  I am a firm believer in giving back to charities I believe in.  I am currently involved with The Trevor Project, a nationwide, around-the-clock crisis and suicide prevention helpline for youth.  As a helpline counselor, I man the phones to speak with kids, teens and young adults about the issues they are facing and how they can cope.  I also volunteer with St. Vincent's Meals on Wheels, delivering hot food to seniors and shut-ins in the Los Angeles area.  We are sometimes the only contact they have with the outside world.  Working with both of these orgazinations is very fulfilling.  As my star rises, I only hope to expand my involvement and to develop my own charity to build self-esteem in inner-city youth and to aid needy families.  Please take the time to visit these charities' websites below:
